1. Flame retardant mechanism of Magnesium Hydroxide Flame Retardant:
Decomposition of magnesium hydroxide absorbs heat, which is beneficial to reduce the flame combustion temperature.
The decomposition of magnesium hydroxide create water, it’s not only the coolant, also reduce the smoke density as thinner.
The decomposition of magnesium hydroxide creates MgO, which is featured with big specific surface. So, it is easy to absorb smoke and cover the combustible material.
2. Cable sheath uses:
The coated magnesium hydroxide is easy to disperse into PE, EVA, and PVC compounds. It’s widely used to produce cable sheath, septum, electronic equipment covers and etc.
3. HFFR Filler uses:
EVA is widely used to produce cable filling compound, based on its good compatibility with magnesium hydroxide. The magnesium hydroxide is very good to improve the combustion performance of halogen free flame retardant cable.
